ETF Links

If you've done any searching on the web for exchange traded fund (ETF) information, you've undoubtedly come across many sites and many opinions. Maybe you even found this site from a search at Google, Yahoo, or one of the other search engines. I too often look for alternative views. It's not prudent to live in a bubble of your own making.

ETFs get a lot of hype from the media. You should look past what you hear in the mead and apply a little skepticism.

Wondering if you should invest in index funds or ETFs? They're similar, but the slight differences could tip the scales in one direction for you.

Currency ETFs are a bit of a mystery to me. Random Roger briefly tries to explain things to me (ETF Guy). I don't see how one can make money from currencies in the long-run without being an active trader. Aren't currencies range bound? But apparently there's an innovative ETF in the works that promises to make currency investing work.

Finally, Herb Morgan talks about need vs. demand for ETF products. His article is an interesting look at the differences between what ETFs the typical investor needs and those that are in demand perhaps because they're considered the hot thing of the day.
